I'm proud of them!

Here I am with all the information about our uncles. Except Subhash Chandra Bose all others are well educated. All are soft spoken, kind hearted, gentlemen. I always feel proud of them.  Since all of them are mamayyas to me let me use that word for convenience.  Yogeswara Rao mamayya holds a Ph.D. He is the first person in the family who went to University. He did his graduation in Agricultural Science i.e. Ag.B.Sc, did P.G. in  Delhi. Later he went to U.S. to pursue his M.S. from the University of Kansas. After coming from the States he joined JNTU for his Ph.D. programme. Coming to the career part... he associated himself with Cashew Research centre Bapatla, Banana Research centre Tanuku. Later he joined Ag.University of Hyderabad as a Lecturer. After rendering his services to AP seeds corporation as Managing Director, he went to Delhi as Vice President of  National seeds corporation. Post retirement now he is with Vicky Seeds as Technical Director. As a journalist whenever I happen to meet people who are associated with Science and Agriculture I listen all praises about Yogeswara rao mamayya. Once somebody even mentioned He should have become the Vice Chancellor of the University. In certain situations I would proudly announce... he is my mamayya!
Nageswara Rao mamayya is an engineer. He served  in the State government as Asst. Engineer. Post retirement he is also working with a private firm called Nuziveedu Seeds as a Consultant.
Ramakrishna mamayya did some course related to Banking but he never worked with any firm. He had his own business.
Chakradhara Rao mamayya is again like Yogeswara rao mamayya. An engineer, he dedicated himself to teaching. He too has many specials regarding his career. He became a lecturer in the same college where he studied. He  Started as a Demonstrater in the SMVM polytechnic college, Tanuku,  and retired as Head of the Department. Post retirement he is continuing his teaching. Here in Hyderabad, I often meet his students. Whenever he comes to Hyderabad, he goes out for a walk and comes home with somebody saying 'he is my student... I met him on the road'. Not only in Hyderabad, wherever he goes, I'm sure he will find his students.
After SSLC, Nagabhushana Rao mamayya tried his hands in business later settled in a central government job i.e. Security Printing press Hyderabad.
Raja mamayya used to work in a bank. He is one person with whom I spent some precious moments in my childhood. He is the first one who brought a scooter, a Gramophone to our village. Whenever he comes to the village all the village people used to assemble in our house to listen him. He used to tell a lot of good things to the people. Mimicry is one of his favourite pastime. He used to mimic his customers, cinema heroes and we all enjoyed. Tall, fair and handsome Raja mamayya really looked like a hero.
Bose mamayya was a farmer, now he is working in a Govt. owned factory.
I heard Ramesh mamayya was a genius. He did B. Com. Murali mamayya also did his graduation. He is with an oldage home now.
Untimely demise of Raja mamayya and Ramesh mamayya are the saddest moments in our lives.  These unfortunate incidents left both their families grief stricken.
So... thats all for now. Will get back with their pictures.

On the job

Though it's long time I am not writing any news... let me confirm. I am on the job. Now we all know upto some extent atleast about our grandparents. Profession wise... we had a doctor, a businessman, a govt. employee, a farmer... among  them. Coming to the next  generation we have versatile, talented  people as our uncles. In this generation we saw our aunts also as professionals. They are the first generation of working women in our Yalamanchili family. Jayaprada and  Pavaneswari  are dedicated teachers.  Varalakshmi earlier worked in private sector, now she is with the LIC.  Annapurna worked for sometime  in Hospital Management field.  Vani is an expert in crafts, and she is doing good business with her art. So in that way all four brothers' daughters  proved themselves.
To write about our uncles ... I need to work. I  have to collect information. Friends... you know ... journalism is not that easy. We have to work hard really : ) so I am gathering. Once I get enough material I write the post.
By the way let me blow my own trumpet for a while. I am the only Journalist in the family. Of course my husband also. Our daughter is also showing some interest in this field. She has already started blogging. You can visit her at  www.fairylandofsuhana.blogspot.com.
I welcome inputs from all of you. Please write to my mail ID.  padmasri.y@gmail.com  or  padmasridayana@yahoo.com
